A leader and revered figure in the pop art movement, Warhol is best known for screenprints of transferred pictures. Among his most recognizable works are images of famous icons including Marilyn Monroe and imagery from advertisements for Campbell’s Soup and Mobil Gas. His works sell for millions in auction and are on permanent exhibition at MoMA, the Andy Warhol Museum, the Whitney, the Guggenheim and virtually every major international contemporary museum.
